A great fruit beer. The blueberry flavor is a perfect marriage of ingredients. Light and refreshing, this beer is great all by itself or blended with another. Try a Black and Blue which is a mix of Stout and Bluebeery Ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a longlasting off-white head. Strong aroma of blueberries and some sweet malty hints. Sweet malty blueberry flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

It ain’t blue beer! Kind of a lightly hazed gold with very little white head; nose of blueberry ice cream with some caramel on top! Flavor of tart blueberries with some light citrus hops. OK for a fruit beer, I liked their lower rated raspberry better.

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with a larger sized white head. Aromas of blueberry muffins with some honey. I liked the way the blueberry was done in the aroma. Tastes of very light tart blueberries, honey, and wheat. Thin body.

From the bottle. Pours a darker orange/amber with a soft white head. Blueberry is very strong in the aroma and flavor, its really a nice fruit for beer, I just wish more people used it as more of a subtle fruit in stouts. In the lighter beers it just kinda overwhelms. This was still a nice brew though, the blueberry adds a light sweetness up front balanced by a light citrus hop finish.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange, no head, no lacing. The bottle states that artificial color is added, so I was expecting a blue or a dark purple hue, not orange. The aroma is sweet with hints of citrus, vanilla, and blueberry. The taste is not to sweet and no bitterness and there is a light blueberry taste. Not a bad beer, but definitely something missing.

Bomber poured a hazy pale golden yellow with a small disapating white head. Aromas of wheat , light blueberry and a hint of honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, blueberry and light lemon with a crisp lightly lingering bluieberry finish. A very refreshing beer!

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy & transparent yellowy color. Aroma is very yeasty, with a moderate amount of blueberry. The taste is basically yeasty water and a trace amount of blueberry on the back end. A little more blueberry comes through as the beer breaths, but still not much to speak off.

This beer really, really suprised me. I had have a few Marin Brew products and have always thought highly of them. I tried today the Raspberry ale and I really wasn’t impress with it at all, so I had some trepidation with trying this. Quite simply, this is one of the easiest to drink fruit beers I’ve ever had. The aroma of this beer is straight out of the cereal box that has the dehydrated blueberries in it. Blueberries, blueberries and more blueberries. Appearance is VERY light in color, almost a yellow-golden hue. This beer pours a HUGE head so be careful. Mouthfeel was lively and carbonated. Flavor was blueberry, but in a way that didn’t smack you upside the head. Very well done, so I guess my vote goes for the blueberry ale as my favorite from their two.
