3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on Tap at the Beer Revolution 2nd Anniversary Party on 2/2/2013. This sour wild ale pours a medium reddish color from the tap. Small to no head. The aroma is cherry, fruity and tart. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, cherry and tart. The hops are earthy. Decent carbonation. Semi-sweet. semi-tart cherry flavors. Seems a little young, as it’s not all that funky. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart and slightly funky.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Backlogged rating from several months ago. On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours a cherry red with a nice pink head of foam. The aroma is tart cherries with no funk. Slight hints of acetone. The flavor is awesome with huge, rich cherry character perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. Still no funk, but no acetone either thankfully. Really good.

Bottle. Cuve Roge with added cherry juice. Reddish beer with an off-white head. Big cherry aroma with tart/sour notes. Cherry and sour/tartness lingers with a bit of backing sweetness. Medium bodied. Cherry and sweetness lingers with tart/sour notes. Great balance. Fruit has a very fresh fruit quality and not as much earthy/dustiness. Nice.
