Hazy yellow coloured with a white head.
Aroma of fruits with notes of yeast and spices.
Flavour of fruits, yeast and spices.
Too carbonated. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 19, 2007 Bottle. Light hazy yellow colour with a big white head. Yeast, fruity, wheat aroma, super high carbonation. Yeast and fruity taste. Medium body with a sparkeling finish. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 19, 2007 Bottle. Huge frothy white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma of caramel, fruit, citrus, somewhat yeasty, bubblegum, clove and coriander. Medium bodied with a minerals and light alcoholic texture and a very fizzy carbonation. The carbonation was way too much to the point where it was unpleasant in the mouth. Flavor was moderated sweet with light notes of bitter and acidic. Long lasting sweet finish. Strange experience. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 18, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Hazy golden with tiny impurities and a very lively, bubbly head - the carbonation is extreme. Very fruity nose with a hint of banana. Medium body, Hubbabubba style fruit flavours - I reckon something went wrong here, that bubbly mouthfeel just can’t be right. 160607 unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jun 4, 2007 22oz bottle. Appearance of apple cider, hazy golden color. Aroma is a little doughy and a lot of apricots. Very creamy texture. Buttery. Flavor kinda mild. I expected more to this, like an Aventinus. Just a lot of cereal malt. All it seems to be is an Imperial Hefe. Malt is very present and texture is hearty. Not much else but dissapointing. But sill good. grant (792), Long Beach, CA/Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 30, 2007 Updated: Jan 13, 2009Very hazy yellow-brown; very little head, and what there is is quite transient.Doughy/nutty/yeasty aroma with moderate esters. Round, somewhat rough maltiness starts things off with a thick initial mouthfeel, gives way to some non-descript cereally maltiness, then I get some light sourness and moderate bitterness over a surprisingly thin and dry finish. I agree with DYCSoccer17 - not much going on here. Meh. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA May 24, 2007 22 ounce bottle purchased at the Covell Nugget in Davis, CA. Aroma is cereal-like with plenty of grainy sweetness. I almost smells like wort that has been boiling. (It also looks like wort). There are also some fruity, floral banana-like aromas that are relatively refreshing. Opaque apple cider color and consistency, which a smallish, quickly dissipating white head. Pretty unattractive. Lightly grainy and cereal like to start, which becomes somewhat tart, sour, and astringent in the middle. Wheat malt flavors to finish, which is a bit dry. This seems like it’s lacking something. Clove and Banana aren’t there. I dont get any citrus either. The astringency, followed by the dryness just doesn’t work well with this beer. This is classified as a weizenbock, but I think it is classified incorrectly. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA May 4, 2007 Bottle pours a cloudy light yellow with a full white head and lots of sticky lacing. Sweet slightly sour aroma of light malts and of apples or pears. Flavor is a fuity light wheat with a littl eyeasty twang. After taste of unfilterd wheat malts and papery. Lively and fine carbonation and a lingering sourness.
