ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 On Draft at the brewpub. Murky, orange pour with white lacing. Phenolic yeast aroma with notes of oranges and bananas. Fruity flavor with dominate wheat and orange notes. This may the first beer I’ve ever rated that had "orange" in the appearance, aroma and flavor. Somewhat hot but it seems to fit the beer. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 2, 2007 A very interesting beer. Somethings that I really like and some that i dont care for. The pour was very nice til there was an excessive amount of white yeast coming through. I typically like yeasty beers but the pour was frighteningly high in it. On the other hand, its a nice cloudy light brown. Mouthfeel is very smooth and enjoyable. Flavor is excellent with the strong bock taste and the weizen crisp. The yeast was very thick on the bottom of the glass. I strongly recommend even though it had much more yeast than expected. ghawener (953), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 8, 2009 Bottle: Turbo charged Weizen! All you would expect from a Weizen but exponential. Food Pairing: Extra sharp cheese. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Mar 13, 2006 This was an interesting little complex hybrid, and I love experimentation when it comes to beer styles so this one really appealed to me. The aroma is quite sweet, and somewhat floral and perhaps just a little spicy. Nice banana and clove, with a really clean aftertaste. Thick and yeasty and full of citrus, this malt background is somewhat sweet and kind of showing in the alcohol department. ratman197 (3141), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jul 1, 2007 Bomber poured a cloudy golden yellow with a large lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus and a hint of banana. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat and citrus with a crisp clean finish. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 29, 2006 nice wheaty beer. poured a huge white head. Was pretty thick i guess yeasty, i thought it was pretty good at first but as drank more of it seemed rather average. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Dec 18, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Well, the name was the same, but the % stated 8.9. Hazy light orange color with a sweet nose and flavor. Surprised at the low score, because I thought this was a good, solid beer. Yeah, a little on the sweet side, but so are most impies and BW’s. I would definitely have again. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Feb 20, 2009 Draught at the brewpub
Hazy yellow with a white head.
Sourish aroma with spicy notes.
