On tap at the brewpub. Lightly hazy, dark orange-golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Pine cones, peaches, citrus peel, orange and some malty sweetness in the aroma. Some sweetness in the flavor, but with sufficient bitterness. Peaches, citrus peel and some orange too. Resins. Full body, soft and pleasantly carbonated. Long and nice finish. A lovely ipa indeed. 130806

Pours a hazy medium brown with a nice white head that goes down quickly. Aroma of citrus, hops and a bit of malty carmel. Nice hop flavor but also a bit of wheat undertones. Not quite as crisp in the mouth as some IPAs but still fairly easy drinking. With all of the great IPAs out there right now this probably isnt the best of the style, but its definitely not bad either.

In short: A classic golden session fruity IPA of superior quality.
How: Bottle 22oz. consumed very fresh, a week or two after being purchase directly at the brewpub. Tasting session with Montreal friends.
The look: Cloudy golden body topped by a small off-white head.
In long: Nose has a smooth inviting character of refreshing fruits and grassy hops over a smooth toastiness. Taste has very nice toasted cereals, a smooth caramel flavor, plenty of juicy fruity hops (citrus fruits mainly), a tasty bitterness that is round and smooth. Everything is smooth in this beer, nothing aggressive here, this is however a tasty beer, a superior tasty session IPA. Id drink gallons of this beer. Another world-class IPA from the west-coast, sometimes Im jealous of people living on the west-coast, but then I look at my watch and it is 1pm here and realizes that it only 10am on the west coast and Im like Get over it west-coast, stop living in the past!
