In short: A classic golden session fruity IPA of superior quality.
How: Bottle 22oz. consumed very fresh, a week or two after being purchase directly at the brewpub. Tasting session with Montreal friends.
The look: Cloudy golden body topped by a small off-white head.
In long: Nose has a smooth inviting character of refreshing fruits and grassy hops over a smooth toastiness. Taste has very nice toasted cereals, a smooth caramel flavor, plenty of juicy fruity hops (citrus fruits mainly), a tasty bitterness that is round and smooth. Everything is smooth in this beer, nothing aggressive here, this is however a tasty beer, a superior tasty session IPA. I’d drink gallons of this beer. Another world-class IPA from the west-coast, sometimes I’m jealous of people living on the west-coast, but then I look at my watch and it is 1pm here and realizes that it only 10am on the west coast and I’m like “Get over it west-coast, stop living in the past!”

Strong fruity taste rusty back flavor and a beauty white head. Good beer not for hop haters. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My Bottom Line:
Leafy, citrusy hop resins top cuddly cereal sugars in this very satisfying rendition of the West Coast’s signature style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam garnishes the misty amber.
-The resinous hop bitterness is gripping, but leveled to the rest of the brew’s meidum-high intensity.
-Carbonation feels soft and natural, which doesn’t impede on the aromatics at play.
-Malts don’t offer much apart from a few sugary flavors, but that was to be expected.

Bottle.

phaleslu (7419) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange-gold with a small but resilient off-white head. Aroma of sweet and caramel malts complement orange and grapefruit citrus, pine, and flowers. Flavor of orange, grapefruit peel, apricot, pine resin, caramel, biscuit, and a bit of floral notes. Medium-bodied, with a juicy, resinous mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Excellent IPA. Not quite White Knuckle, but right there.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy deep gold and light head. Aroma is mild floral and cherry for some reason. Taste is peach, grass and nice hop bouquet. Love the peach and malt bill here. Nice single IPA.

Oh, my! Tis good. Tis very freakin’ good. Huge floral boquet of hops. Deep flavor of malts, with fantastic bitterness. A slight reddish hue with this white head, but does leave stickly lacing. Excellent!

Draft at Q, in San Francisco. Pours clear orange, moderate cream coloured head, great lacing. Nose is creamy with soft and gentle lifted citrus notes. Thai-scented ginger, tea, cold cream, rosewater. Flavours of juicy grapefruit, navel and mandarin oranges, fresh dairy cream, spruce, ginger, and light limestone/chalk. This is a feminine, delicate and utterly delicious IPA. I have a strong feeling that this travels very badly, and finding this in perfect shape is a bit akin to unicorn hunting. Just a wonderful surprise!

Tap at Marin. Orange pour with a clingy small white head. Nose is grapefruit and caramel malt. Same in the taste, plus a bit of pine resin. Moderate palate. Nice brew.

Pint at brewpub. Ok aroma,.sweet. orange and pine, clean brownish orange, small head, minor lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body creamy mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. Again ok, flavorful enough, but weak for area.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours cloudy burnt orange color with off white head. Pine, citrus, and caramel aromas and flavors. Moderate bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Craig.
