A really great beer. One of my favorite pale ales. Clean and very smooth.

Brownish cloudy amber, decent head. Pleasant hoppy aroma. Fairly well balanced malt and hops, drinks like a light IPA, which is not a problem.

Bottle. A dark golden color with a creamy tan head. The pine, hops, and citric notes rip through the nose with furious vengeance. It's clean and smooth in the mouth. It leaves the pine and hop residue on the palate. I like my APA's like this.

BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - DEC 9, 2002
Highly foamy, cloudy amber body. Enticing piney, citric hop aroma. Sweet pineapple front, fairly hoppy and dry in the finish. Starts out really well but just runs out of flavor after a few sips.

Oakes (13593) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 26, 2002
Cloudy amber; Pleasant hop aroma; harsh hops on the palate, astringency, little malt. Maybe not at its best, but not gone off far enough to know for sure. Need another bottle.

Huge head, thick and creamy. Some bitterness, sweet as well. There was something missing in this one (character?)

daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2002
Cloudy dark orange color, with chunks floating about. Organic, grassy, slight citrus and alcohol in the nose. Slightly bitter, plasticky and slightly organic. OK pale ale.

Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2002
Cloudy deep amber, the head is average, and beige, the lace is adequate. Nose is lightly floral, malt and a bit citrusy. Front is sweet, the top is light, the finish is dry, acidic, lightly hopped, and a drinkable Pale Ale.

argo0 (12277) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 7, 2002
Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Almost identical to the IPA, but a little less alcohol (5.4% v. 6.8%) and a little less hoppy; faint taste of pine tree

Headless. Really hoppy, with vines and pine aroma. Bright and clean with dark tobacco nuance. Belches wonderfully!
