Pours with a copper body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with nice grapefruit notes and a little tin note. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with pine notes, grapefruity undertones and a touch of sweet malt. Medium bodied, slightly dry and smooth.

Bottle. Copper colored with a great long-lasting off-white head. Good hoppy, fruity, citrus aroma with a caramel malt backing. Good hop flavor, very fruity, not overly bitter. Claen and smooth. Needs more malt backing to balance. Finish is light and dies quickly.

Pours with a huge head. About 1mm beer 3 inches foam. Amber orange in color. Smells a little hoppy with some citric qualities. Flavor is sweet and a little hoppy. Seems to be a little too carbonated for my liking.

Fantastic Pale Ale. Nice light amber coloring. Hoppy aroma. Slight hop bitterness. Light caramel malt flavor.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2004 Bottled. Brownish clear amber. Cascade fragrant. Sweet and clean with medium body and loads of lychee-like hop flavour. Medium bitterness. A hugely aromatic APA.

This pours out a beautiful deep gold with a creamy head. Fragrant hop aroma with a nice malt support. Sweet and crisp flavor with a very nice bitter finish. Very nice Pale Ale.

Clear medium orange color, almost red. Fresh hop nose, very nice cascade nose and flavor... pale malts in the middle of the drink, finish is a dull and bland hop concoction... a little jumpy and peppy hops in places.

Dark golden color with a frothy white head. Very aromatic scent of flowery hops, very distinct. Flavor is maly sweet with a balancing bitterness. Citric tones in the flavor. I really liked this beer.

DarkElf (3050) - La Jolla, California, USA - JUN 19, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2004 (22-ounce bottle, $3) This beer starts off with a sweet and very fruity nose with only a mild aroma of hops; Based on that introduction, not surprisingly, this medium bodied and lighter flavored pale ale is mildly fruity (orange citrus, perhaps tangerine?) and sweet, and more balanced than expected, and the balance only moderately drifts towards the hoppy end in the finish; The fresh-tasting and mildly bitter hops has good presence, but complements the delicate maltiness quite nicely; Orange-gold color and somewhat cloudy from fine sediment; The head is off-white and has pretty average retention and a fair amount of fine lacing

Appearance: medium amber with a small head. Very little smell at all. Taste is kind of a plain, ordinary roasted malt. Not my favorite at all. I think this beer is rather un-pale-ale-like.
