Shared bottle with friends. Poured a light copper color. Aroma was citrus, with a touch of tart fruity notes. Slight funk perhaps. This one was very smooth, with just a touch of funk notes along with sweet malts. Interesting. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Nice.

Bottle. It pours a small, beige head over an unclear reddish body. Some alcohol in the aroma, along with caramel maltyness, dried fruits and some hoppyness. Citrus hints, pine cone notes and a lightly spiced touch. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and quite silky on the palate. Nice balance between maltyness and bitterness and hoppy flavors. In comes the alcohol and adds more joy and smoothness. Overall, maybe a bit on the sweet side, but I still think it’s a really pleasant and tasteful beer. 120324

(Bottle) Pours pale mahogany brown. The aroma is big time caramelly and toffee-like malty with fruity undertones of prunes and figs. Bit nutty on the nose. The flavour is medium to heavily sweet and light bitter with notes of caramel, toffee, nuts and dried fruits like prunes and figs. Really malty in the flavour as well. Some grassy hops. The mouthfeel is round and light sticky with a soft carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Leaning more towards England than the US.
