4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle. Aroma is dry dark chocolate with hints of dark fruit/cherries/raspberries. Many stouts are lighter in color than this beer. Head retention is excellent and lacing covers the entire glass - makes for a very appetizing pint. Taste is dry dark chocolate and a very nice, rich mouthfeel, slight caramel sweetness, and hints of berry following through to the finish. Slight char flavor which would really hit it off with a nice blackened steak. Very nicely balanced. Hops are very low and balance is mainly achieved through the roasted malt. An excellent robust porter.

Use caution when pouring-forms a huge persistent head. Nice and dark. Super smooth and velvety. Very nice!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle via BA trade about 6+ months ago. Didn’t want to wait any longer. Pours a dark, mostly opaque, brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, toast, nuts, mild roast, and even a hint of dark fruits. Flavor of chocolate, earth, nuts, toast, and pit fruit. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a toasty, nutty mouthfeel. Very solid porter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap: pours black with medium tan head with aromas of roasted grain, chocolate, and burnt toffee. Flavor is big with roast grain that brings in some bitter tartness and a very light caramel sweetness. Palate is lightly sweet, with smooth bitters and tarts. Flavorful, will have more.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Cafe Reyes in Point Reyes Station, CA.
Opaque, near black brown. Arrived at table with no head. Fair lacing.
Aroma of coffee and chocolate.
Taste cocoa and coffee with bit of toffee flavor in the finish.
Above average body and carbonation with a creamy, soft foamy mouthfeel. (Not thin at all as reported by most reviewers of the bottled version.)

Thanks yiannos for sharing it with me.
Nice black color, with a good bubble head.
Aromas: strong coffee and chocolate
Taste: same with a dry long finish.
Medium body. Not so thick, but good enough for a porter.

Thanks to GatorGuy92 for the share on this one. Cheers, Matt. Pours a medium brown color with an off-tan head. Nose is cocoa, baker’s chocolate, chocolate malt, and some roast. Flavor is similar with cocoa, unsweet chocolate, and slight roast. Finish is a little dry with bits of cocoa staying for a bit. At 6%, I could have a few of these.
