Brown color -- flat and rich. Malty sweet, mildly fruity aroma. Mild, smooth, rich, balanced flavor. The flavor is lovely, as is the mouth feel. Sweetly rich with a smoky background. Very good.

Sep 26, 2008 Bomber poured a clear dark brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, roastiness and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, bitter chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of vanilla with a smooth roasty finish.

Sep 4, 2008 Most impressive Marin, even more so than White Knuckle. Had this on tap at Hotel Monaco in SF and out of a bottle from Whole Foods Pasadena, CA. Pours a dark rootbeer brown, big puffy head at first that completely subsides. Aromas of roasted coffee, and flavors of coffee, spice and a tad bit of chocolate. Rich but not too thick, highly highly drinkable.
