k4df4l (132), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 29, 2008 22 oz bottle pours a deep brown with a light brown fluffy head. Aroma is some what faint scents of milk chocolate, light coffee/roast and sweet malt. Flavor is fairly sweet and malty with moderate chocolate, coffee/roasted flavors. Well balanced bitterness, softly hopped. Nice mellow molasses flavor in the sweet long finish. Moderate mouthfeel and moderately carbonated.
Rogueone (270), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA Jun 11, 2008 Sample at the Most Honorable SuperHappyFun Stout Tasting, thanks Dogbrick: Dark pour with generous bubbly and frothy head. Carbonation and malts initially sting the tongue. Hint of vinegar amongst roasted chocolate malts. Sharp and bitter at points. Sort of all over the place. I thought I was really going to like this, based on the Stout I have tried by the same Brewery but alas, no. A miss.
Dogbrick (2161), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 10, 2008 Sample at the Most Honorable SuperHappyFun Stout Tasting. Bottle from Bevmo in Palmdale, CA. This brew pours the color of a cold cup of coffee with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, burnt malt and some dark chocolate. Medium, dry body with notes of coffee, dark fruit and toasted malt. The finish is burnt malt with a lingering hoppy taste left over. Above average overall. ChainGangGuy (1393), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA May 21, 2008 Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a small, tan head.
Smell: Dark malts with a hardy scent of unsweetened cocoa powder, darkened grains, and, well... that’s about it.
Taste: Dark malts with a hint of dry chocolate and grains. Mild sweetness. Encroaching earthy bitterness. Drying finish. Pretty simple.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A decent porter. Let’s just leave it at that, shall we? kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 11, 2008 Date: 05/03/2008

CaptainCougar (4596), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 3, 2008 Pours a nearly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, wispy-lacing tan head. Roasty coffee and dark chocolate nose with a smooth malty character. Starts with an effervescent lightly sweet dark caramel flavor before a milk chocolatey finish. A pretty good porter.
