22oz bottle from South Bay Drugs. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a burnt orange hue, some lacing. Nose was sweet with aromas of wheat, candied citrus fruits and some yeast. Flavor and finish were both very sweet and heavy on the malt. Really good stuff, better than I expected.

On draft - Wow, smooth and silky. Last drink of the trip. Lots of strange flavors in here that seem to mix well. Did not take notes, just sipped and looked out over the bay outside the brewery. Unlike any barleywine I have ever tried. Truely unique.

Bottle; poured a clear auburn/orange with a medium sized off white head. Aroma was a bit odd, but not too bad; caramel, vegetables, sugar and fruit. Flavor of caramel, vanilla, wheat and fruit. Somethin earthy/vegetable throughout. Warmed up to the flavor a bit; but there was something that just didn’t work overly well. I usually really like wheatwhines too, so I am a bit disapointed overall.

650 ml bottle from Bev4les. Pours a copper-amber color with a small white head that quickly faded to nothing. The aroma is a bit unusual with something that smelled of sweetened carrots and candied yams. The flavor is pretty much the same with a bit of alcohol detectable in taste. The mouthfeel was heavy and syrupy. The finish was medium in duration and sweet. Overall: Not really to my liking, more defects than assets.

Transparent copper/amber. Aroma is very sharp, alcohol, and faint fruity esters. Flavor again has a bunch of alcohol, some floral hints and tiny bit of skunk. Other than that not much else.
