This beer is the predecessor of Moylans Hopsickle although it is not the same recipe. Brewed by then Marin brewer James Costa before he moved on to Moylans. This beer has sat in the walk-in cooler at Marin Brewing until they finally decided to tap it and offer it to the public.

On Draft at the brewpub. Pours and almost clear, burnt orange color with an ivory head. Malty aroma with some obvious oxidation. The flavor is bitter and malty but not at all sweet with some slight honey notes. Soft oxidation in the flavor as well. I’d have to say this beer has held up much better than I would have expected for a four-year-old IIPA.
