JorisPPattyn (4637), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 24, 2008 Deep gold, small yelllow head. Very little nose, with some grain and very faraway saltiness (sea). Flowery, more saltiness obvious in the taste. Malts abound, way too sweet for a Saison/ Farmhouse ale. Medium bodied, slick. Not bad, but "golden ale" is more like it.
bhensonb (3129), Woodland, California, USA Apr 26, 2008 Draft at the Magnolia in S.F. Light floral aroma. Gold color with a white smear on top. Thin in body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lightly fruity/grapey with enough bitter for balance. Like a lightly hopped pilsner with grape? Clean and refreshing. rayOfBeer (271), El Cerrito, California, USA Jan 21, 2008 From tap pours a hazy blonde with frothy off-white head which fades quickly. Aromas of toasted wheat and yeast. This beer taste like a Leffe blonde clone with some rough edges. Flavor is a bit of wheat, sweet candied malt and yeast with a nice spiciness throughout. There is a hop bitterness that runs through the beer but not too astringent. A very nice drinkable beer. Snojerk321 (1120), San Diego, California, USA Nov 30, 2007 A decent golden ale. Pours a light golden color with a light, off white head. Almost no lacing. Nose of citrus fruits, yeast and some spice. hotstuff (3047), Indiana, USA Oct 14, 2007 Draft at MBC. Small white head that mostly diminished with very little lacing observed, transparent, no visible carbonation, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma was lightly malty and sweet and ditto for the flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and light body. A one dimensional brew IMO. Nothing too exciting about this one.
