Keg at The marina. Hazy lemon yellow with a thick white head. Not a deep cloudiness like a German Hefe. Yeasty hefe nose. The body is thin. Flavour is acidic. Lemon and Banana. i haven’t really had a good Czech wheat beer yet.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow body. The aroma did bring out some vague notes reminiscent of a hefe, though, admittedly, I seemed more like caramel than banana. The taste, however, is another story, as void of features as the other two more or less, perhaps slightly smoother, with a little bit more of the same that was in the taste. If someone told me in a blind tasting this was a lager with just slightly more wheat in the malt bill than average, I wouldn’t have said no. Those who had it thought it was OK, so, like every other beer here, it does its job in a way, unless you’re expecting a proper German-style wheat.
