3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of the Ice house ales I encountered in Lunenberg paired up with a plate of oysters.
Poured a bright copper color with a 1 finger tan cap fair retention and lacing.....very mild aroma; smokey caramel and some grass. Medium body fair malt spine smokey-sweet character mild mouth feel.
Started sweetish, caramel, friuty, then a tad of toast and smoke, fast wet clean finish and mild biscuit after tastes.
One of the best commercial beers I have tasted in NS.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This actually poured an alright colour when I wasn’t drinking it from the bottle. Nice bright amber colour with a frothy white short-lasting head. The aroma is slightly fruity with a sweet malty presence. The body is fine - slightly on the sweet side with a mild hop presence. At least it’s clean.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark brown, with a thin, fizzy, diminishing tan head. Very cola like appearance. Faint caramel and alcohol bitter aroma. Mild and mellow but unpleasant tobacco and alcohol flavours. Thin and light bodied.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This cream ale poured adark yellow colour with a little off white head. First to the nose was this metallic scent then came the scent of dark malts with brown sugar. A little nuttiness to it also. First sip was pretty good with flavours of molassass and wine. Palate was not bad but syrupy.

a decent beer that looks and tastes more like a red or amber ale than a cream ale - very little head. good aftertaste.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
One of the 2 beers that wasn’t brewed by Gahan that I tried while in PEI. Very odd beer. I liked it for all the wrong reasons.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: strong and spicy. Palate: watery and sourish. Appearance: dark as maple syrup. Flavor: Quite flavorful for a cream ale. Overall: Good, but a little strange with a potent molasses flavor. I don't general like cream ales but this one was pleasant.
