Jul 4, 2009 On cask at the Jolly Roger taproom. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a big rocky white head. Aroma is dominated by citrus and pine. Flavor is sweet, and hoppy, very straight forward. Almost a straight sugary sweetness as opposed to malty. Palate is smooth and creamy, carbonation is light.

The pour. It poured with a nice 2 finger head. Really frothy head.
It pours a hazy golden coler and the nose is that of WTF Crayons?? Interesting. I also get citrus, a little malt, and maybe a bit of honey on the nose.
The mouthfeel on this is creamy. Its definitely an imperial pale ale. Pretty well blended. The hops on the back end really sock it to you and leaves a lasting bitterness.
I would definitely drink this if I lived in the northwest. Very drinkable.

Apr 19, 2009 Not much from the bottle or on tap, but on cask at the brew pub it was phenomenal. The tap version is a bit spicy, lacking a malt backbone and with little floral character. On cask it is incredibly smooth and delicious, with everything in perfect balance. Best cask upgrade ive had, and the mussels with chorizo certainly helped as well!

Mar 28, 2009 Cask pour at Jolly Roger. Poured a nice golden with light cream head. Nice floral aroma and great tasting hops. However, a bit bitter and long on the finish.

Very typical nitro head - poofy. Cloudy light gold color. Grapefruit citrus nose. Gummy grapefruit goodness. Wow is this good! Pleasant lingering aftertaste.

Jan 31, 2009 Had this on tap at Summit Public House in Capital Hill in Seattle. Had a pitcher, actually. You can definitely taste that there’s a high ABV. Very hoppy, and really crisp. A nice blond color to it, and the head was out of control good.
