Commercial Description:
Hoppy, crisp, and citrusy, with an underlying malt character. Made by blending lots of malted barley, wheat, and a judicious quantity of Cascade hops. A "big" beer!

On tap. Pours a nice, slightly hazy amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is a bit piney and citrus with an influence of hops. Great flavor with a nice balance of hops and malt. I really like pale ales, and this is a great one. I’d like to pair this brew with crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and a mixed green salad.

Date: June 28, 2008
Mode: Bottle
Source: Trade
Appearance: cloudy orange, wispy dirty white head, streaks of drippy lace
Aroma: dry crystal malt aroma with floral and earthy hops
Flavor: sweet crystal malt flavor, lots of bready character, earthy and floral hops plus a touch of citrus, sweet butterscotch
Overall: the butterscotch gives it an English IPA character, but too many hops makes it American

What a nice surprise to get this as an extra in a trade. Pours slightly clody golden with a large head. Aroma is hops of the piney cascade variety. Nice and smooth brew I actually think this IPA is almost on the same level as the highest rated 2IPAs. Maybe I’m just a fan of the cascade hops.

Nice hops. Not overpowering. Bitter. For being on tap at the hotel bar, it was a pleasant choice to have. Went down well.

Hazy amber with a frothy white head. Grapefruit hops aroma with touches of caramel. Crisp and refreshing flavor marked by citrus hops bitterness. Quite respectable.
