3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap, pours a darker golden color with a thin white head that leaves light lacing. Smells of citrus, caramel, and dough. Tastes of the same things with a light hop presence in the finish. Mouthfeel was medium and chewy with pretty good carbonation. Overall not bad but too malty to be considered an ipa. It paired well the the food I had at The Wild Ginger in Seattle though.

Tap @ The J & M Cafe: Meh. Musty and in in flavor. Ok, but glad I only drank a half pint of this bad boy.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a rich golden amber color. Very little head. Aroma is floral and citrus hops up front, with significant maltiness. Flavor is bitter and roasty up front but with a sweet backbone. Overall a decent imperial IPA.

Served on tap at Jolly Roger. Clear gold color with a large white head. This is the cask version. Hoppy aroma. Low body. Not much initial flavor but finishes a little hoppy.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap at jolly Roger tap room. Pint glass with commonmac and rosskyle and wildcard. Dark gold with white head and thick head and lacing. Aroma is subtle. Sweet and alcohol, then dry hop at the end. Was a bit clunky.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pub glass on 02.03.15.
A: Candied tropical fruit, grain, and lots of bready malt.
A: 1/4 finger head that recedes to a ring and fluff.
T: Some tropical fruit and grainy, bready malt dominate. Pine on the back end and tuna are subtle.
P: Oily. Not very bubbly.
O: The malt was too strong in this one. Granted, it’s an older IPA, but it wasn’t very enjoyable. Drain pour.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is clear dark amber with a yellowish white head. Nose is bready and doughy, piney hops and resin. Taste is doughy, some bread crust, pine and faint citrus with gentle bitterness. Body is rather full and creamy, moderate carbonation and a semi dry finish. Some malt sugars of caramel linger through a shorter finish.
