COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy, crisp, and citrusy, with an underlying malt character. Made by blending lots of malted barley, wheat, and a judicious quantity of Cascade hops. A "big" beer!

Serving: from tap at Veraci Pizza. Aroma: I didn’t detect anything. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and excellent lacing. Hazy, dark-yellow body. Taste: heavily bitter initial taste and heavily bitter, citrusy finish with long duration. Palate: medium to full-bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: not very interesting. Too hoppy for my taste, but without an attractive hop aroma. Heavy on the alcohol.

On tap, pours a darker golden color with a thin white head that leaves light lacing. Smells of citrus, caramel, and dough. Tastes of the same things with a light hop presence in the finish. Mouthfeel was medium and chewy with pretty good carbonation. Overall not bad but too malty to be considered an ipa. It paired well the the food I had at The Wild Ginger in Seattle though.

Draught. Gold like a very pale ale or a lager, thin white head. Full aroma, lots of citrus and evergreen in the aroma. Restrained hop flavour with a malt bone. Medium hop finish.

ACHops (282) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours copperish orange with thick lacey head that lingers considerably. Aroma is bright citrusy hop flavors and biscuit malts. Taste is sharp hops with strong notes of pine, citrus, and grass. Hops taste fresh even though this is an older bottle. Solid malt body with sweet biscuity flavor. Finishes bitter. At 7.5%, clearly not a DIPA, but a very nice rich standard IPA.

2012-08-09, bottle from QFC - Seattle (Ballard), 6-4-7-3-12=32
Cloudy light amber color. Light aroma of caramel and sugar. Some caramel flavor, very light residual sweetness, light puke, correct hopping.
Not very Imperial, and without malt or hop fine qualities.

20912-07-29, draught at Lockspot Fish & Chips Bar, Seattle, as Maritime IPA (sic), 6-4-7-4-14=35
Hazy amber color. Mild aroma of toffee. Quite good malt and toffee flavor, lean mouthfeel, with good caramelly hopping, mild hop resins in the end.
Pleasant.

Pours a clear golden orange color with a one finger white head that quickly settles into a thin ring.  Streaks of lacing left behind. Complex hop aroma with lots of tropical and citrus fruit notes countering the earthy, grassy character.  Hints of grapefruit, pineapple and orange pell followed by earthy pine needle and biscuity malt. Medium bodied with a nice balance of bitter, earthy hops and sweet fruit notes. Hints of grassy pine needle giving off dry bitterness that lingers throughout.  This is countered by hints of citrus rind, grapefruit and pineapple.   Some biscuity pale malt and sweet booze toward the finish.  Well balanced and dangerously drinkable.
