Hoppy, crisp, and citrusy, with an underlying malt character. Made by blending lots of malted barley, wheat, and a judicious quantity of Cascade hops. A "big" beer!

Had this on tap at Summit Public House in Capital Hill in Seattle. Had a pitcher, actually. You can definitely taste that there’s a high ABV. Very hoppy, and really crisp. A nice blond color to it, and the head was out of control good.

Tan pour, decent off white head. Nose is citrus. Bitter. Middle shows a nice creamy malt body, little marmalade. Finish is hoppy and satisfying.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber gold with a thin white head. Floral, soft and musky, light citrus. Medium bodied, floral early and throughout. Musk, a touch of citrus.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold to copper body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring, some light lacing. The aroma is more driven by the sweet crystal malt than by the hops, just some minimal citrusy notes. Not a great start to this one. The flavor is overly sweet as well with a little too much crystal malt. What hops are there, are pretty covered by the residual sweetness. Medium bodied with a little clingy sweetness and fizzy carbonation. Definitely a letdown for a west coast hoppy beer.

Tap @ The J & M Cafe: Meh. Musty and in in flavor. Ok, but glad I only drank a half pint of this bad boy.

12 oz bottle. Pours a rich golden amber color. Very little head. Aroma is floral and citrus hops up front, with significant maltiness. Flavor is bitter and roasty up front but with a sweet backbone. Overall a decent imperial IPA.

Served on tap at Jolly Roger. Clear gold color with a large white head. This is the cask version. Hoppy aroma. Low body. Not much initial flavor but finishes a little hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at jolly Roger tap room. Pint glass with commonmac and rosskyle and wildcard. Dark gold with white head and thick head and lacing. Aroma is subtle. Sweet and alcohol, then dry hop at the end. Was a bit clunky.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pub glass on 02.03.15. A: Candied tropical fruit, grain, and lots of bready malt. A: 1/4 finger head that recedes to a ring and fluff. T: Some tropical fruit and grainy, bready malt dominate. Pine on the back end and tuna are subtle. P: Oily. Not very bubbly. O: The malt was too strong in this one. Granted, it’s an older IPA, but it wasn’t very enjoyable. Drain pour.
