Light malty flavor and subtle hop character, Islander Pale Ale is a refreshingly different style of pale ale. Hop flavor supplied by Czechoslovakian hops, Unique!

Brilliant clear deep golden, with a thin white head that stays on top. Beautifully hopped. Lingering bitter finish. Nicely balanced with a maltiness that still allows the hops to be the star of the show.

(12oz bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, herbs, and caramel. Flavor of citrus, caramel, peach, bread, and not so fresh fish in the finish

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and mild citrusy. Crisp hoppy, peachy and light citrusy hoppy. Ends smooth and fruity.

(12oz bottle thanks to mora2000) pale yellow, very few fine white bubbles. Nose is really subdued, malty, biscuit, very light creamsickle, just boring. Taste is really malty, papery, no hops to balance this one out at all, creamy, biscuit, weird astringent aftertaste, weird citrus esters too that just don’t come out. Dry finish which is weird considering how malty it was.

Bottle. Appearance is a hazy yellowish golden color with a half-inch of foamy white head. The aroma is an even blend of malted barley and floral hops with a little bit of citrus in the background. The taste has more of a nutty malt and caramel flavor to it upfront backed by some herbal hops bitterness and dried apricot notes. The body is smooth and well-carbonated with a clean, hoppy finish. Well done APA worth working into the summer beer rotation.

355ml bottle pours a bronze color with 2 fingers of white head and lots of lacing. A pleasing hoppy aroma with hints of cereal grain. Taste is a pleasant hoppy bitterness balanced nicely with a light malty sweetness. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation leave a nice feeling on the palate. This is a really nice pale ale which I enjoyed while sitting around campfire in Washington state on vacation.

Tap. Pours a clear pale yellow with a slight head. There was no discernible aroma. The flavor was generic pale ale. Drinkable but unremarkable overall.
