Indiana_Red (1462), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 8, 2007 On Tap at the Jolly Roger
Slightly hazy light yellow with a full creamy white head and lacing that coats the glass in sheets. Lots of continuous rising bubbles. Typical extremely light malt aroma. Slightly of soap and cereal. Flavor is soft light malts, slightly of corn or other vegetativeness, but pleasant and agreeable. This beer would go far to help me forget that I don’t like pilsners.
VitaminR (267), Colorado, USA May 5, 2008 Has a bicuity baked bread grassy nose, some fruitiness. Gold color, decent head. Good chewy malt sweetness, balanced by a somewhat complex spicy hop bitterness. Nice carbonation, easy drinking and crisp--but it really delivers with some complexity. The longer than expected finish is something I can only describe as simply "tasty". This is a very easy drinking beer that has more to it than your typical American Pale Lager. In fact, this might be one of the best "neo" American Pale Lagers made. Really enjoyable easy drinking beer for any occasion. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Dec 31, 2003 Light golden in color with a medium white head and extremely clear. Aroma is buttery and of floral hops.Decent palate for a light lager, nothign ground breakinghere, but solid. glkaiser (909), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 28, 2007 Not worth trying....Slight malt finish, but just a typical lager. Good if you want to drink alot of something. Skyview (2806), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 24, 2008 On draught at the Jolly Roger brewery/taproom grill in suburban Seattle, WA. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that started large and then that leaves behind a thin film and white ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, citrus zest, with a touch of mild yeast. Taste is light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of golden grain malt, some lemon zest, and a touch of Ivory soap. Finish is mildly bitter with some citrus zest and a pale ale hop aftertaste.
