Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 24, 2008 On draught at the Jolly Roger brewery/taproom grill in suburban Seattle, WA. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of crystal golden grain malt, some citrus zest and flowery hops wit a touch of butter. Taste is light bodied with some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, citrus zest, some sweet pears and a touch of lemon. Finish is semi-sweet with a golden grain malt aftertaste. An excellent summer pils. Suttree (2267), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 25, 2007 Clear yellow, thin white head. Crispy, toasty aroma, with a unlying aroma of spicy hops. Clean hoppy flavors at first, then some bready notes. Clean, crisp finish. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 6, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining white head that laces and yellow color. Aroma is grain-some sweet. Taste is grain-some sweet, light/grassy/lemon hops, crisp. OK carbonation. riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA Oct 5, 2007 Yellow gold color. Mild bread in the aroma. Mild sweet bready flavor with a lightly spicy finish. A good drinkable beer. Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2007 Golden colour. Rich saaz nose, with hints of pale malts. The flavour is thin on the malts, but yet they impact the mouthfeel a bit anyway. Hop bitterness is moderate. It lacks the voluptuous tang of the best Czechs but its a solid, refreshing American example.
