tronraner (2458) - Walland, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Pours, well, brown with minimal head. The aroma is sweet caramel with a little bit of grain and grass. The flavor is the same: caramel, some hay, slight woodiness in finish. A little bland, but ok.

Draught and Cask at Market Cross: Very faint aroma of nuts and malts. Poured amber in color with a small, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Good lacing. Lightly sweet flavor of malts, brown sugar, nuts, bread, and a hint of caramel. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Soft carbonation. Nutty, malty, brown sugar finish is lightly dry.

Pours a dark brown with a nice off white head. Aroma of toasted nuts, malty. Watery mouthfeel gives way to a nutty body. Not very sweet, or complex, but a nice beer nonetheless.

kramer (3459) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2007
On Tap, 1/2 pint, at brewpub. Pours a clear light brown with a small foamy tight bubbled head. Looks a little thin. The nose is light nutty and toasted malt, no discernable hops. The flavor is a bit thin as well, with a light huskiness that comes on in the finish. Kinda has a slight astringency, like what you get from a too high sparge temp. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with fizzy prickly carbonation. Almost soda like in feel. Overall, a pretty weak effort. Seems like they scrimped on ingrediants with this one.

Brown in color with a small head. Fairly unremarkable beer: thin bodied, light malty nut flavor. Not much to say about this one.

Draught at the pub. Poured a dark brown with average head. Very light nutty aroma and a smooth brown nut taste that stays in your mouth. Overall another good beer from Market Cross.

cask pint at the brewpub: aroma was faint with hints of wood, and malt. came off the hand pump with a lucious creamy head, and brillant brown color. Flavor was very much live a mild, minus no chocolately, coffee notes. lots of nice sweet, carmally, toffeeish maltiness, and the classic fruitiness of an english ale. As the drink goes down the fruitiness becomes the dominant flavor. A subtle but very delicious and satisfying drink. palate was creamy and classic for a cask ale. Makes me miss England.

Cask pint at the brewery. Lightly murky with a brown colored body and a tan, creamy cask head. Mild flavor overall, very mild, but good and without defects. Very faint nose of mild wood and wheat, flavor is similar, some light husk, light grains, light maple flavors. Reminds me of mild ale on cask, actually.
