Since I was in the area I made my first visit to Market Garden. Had I known how good the food and beer were it would not have taken this long. A robust, well rounded, and flavor packed seasonal seemed ideal for the cold winter evening.
Aroma / Appearance - The reddish brown base masks a fiery edge topped by a cocoa head. Malt, coffee, rye, mild hops, and sweet notes feel a little like a nose full of Dr Pepper spiked with alcohol.
Flavor / Palate - A creamy mixture of burnt toast, coffee, and malt eases the transition to a full bodied finish. Warmth radiates for a few minutes until it begins to fade. Definitely the best brewery in the Ohio City area this is right up with Fat Heads and The Brew Kettle for best Cleveland area options.
