COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you have ever spent time in a German beer garden, you know how much they love their wheat beer. Our Bavarian-style Hefeweizen is a satisfying blend of sweet wheat and pale malts, clove and banana aromatics, and the zesty tang of wheat yeast.

Wheaty flavor, slight notes of lemon ... Otherwise nothing extraordinary, fairly drinkable, but a dime a dozen

Sample at the brewpub on 3/24/12. Opaque yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, cream, banana, wheat and banana. Flavor also prompts the use of the word banana several times, with creamy wheat malt and clove character.

Tap sample. Poured an hazy orange color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus, banana and clove aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium spicy sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Sampler at the Market Garden restaurant. Pours that great hazy straw color so typical of a hefeweizen. Banana, cloves, and some spiciness in the nose; matched in the taste, with a little more emphasis on the banana. Goes down pretty smoothly. Nothing really out of the ordinary on this one, solid but not outstanding.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium thin and fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana and wheat. Light body with a sweet fruity character and notes of spice and wheat. The finish is sweetly spiced with a short banana aftertaste. Decent overall.
