A rather bland Schwarzbier without burnt, sour notes. Feels more like an ordinary lager.

Bottle at Mommseneck Berlin. Dark malt body with medium head. Nose malty, sweet, watery. Taste is caramel, malts, sugar, plums, faint licorice notes. Pretty good.

50cl bottle at Aufsturz, Berlin. Pours very dark, almost black, with an off-white head. Lightly malty aroma with caramel, some roasty notes and hints of spices. Quite sweet and lightly roasty with a slightly dry finish with a pleasant bitterness. Well balanced. Quite nice and easy to drink. (2013-04-05)

Draft. Not much by way of aroma. Very dark, moderate head that dissipated quickly. Dry and ashy on the palate. Strong cooked cereal and roasted malt flavor. A bit odd for a swarz, but I enjoyed it as something different.

On tap. Pours dark brown with a meduim brown head. Not much aroma, but a sweet taste of malt and caramel. Meduim body and carbonation. Very good schwarzbier.

50cl Bottle from Getränke Hoffmann Boxhagener Str. Berlin. Dark reddish brown to black colour, off-white head. Aroma is light tar, grain. Flavour is light sweet, light roasted malts, a little caramel, ash, dry and bitter grainy finish. Light-bodied. Not very enjoyable.

0,5 l bottle at Hopfingerbräu im Hauptbahnhof, Berlin. Clear coca cola colored body with a lasting one inch foamy tan colored head leaving excellent lacing. Floral, herbal nose. Roasted, malty, bitter and aromatic mouth. Medium to full body. Dry tongue. Roasted bitter finish.

Riecht nur ein wenig malzig. Der Geschmack ist wässrig nicht stark. Im nachgeschmack kommt der karamellige malz Geschmack etwas raus.
