On tap at Alt-Berlinche Weissbierstube. Slightly sweet, malty, nutty. Lots of grain. Pleasant, old fashioned no nonsense beer. A fine excample of the style.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Slightly roasted. Moderate bitter flaor. Average moderate bitter finish. Not very roasted. Creamy palate.

Bottle. Pours a clear and reddish/brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and some roasted notes. The flavor is malt and sweetness. The palate is sweet. Overall a beer below average.

(Bottle, Aufsturz, Berlin, 23 July 2010) Black colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, roasted nose with dark bread, liquorice and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, liquorice and caramel. Rather thin body, balanced sweetness and low bitterness. Decent but a bit boring.

Appearance : Dark black with a small creamy and brown colored head. Extensive lacing.
Aroma : Dark fruits, a bit peppery and mineral. Light notes of raisins and roasted malt.
Taste : Very malty and rather mineral. Finish is slightly roasty and very malty. Soft enjoyable carbonation. Light sweetness on the finish but still dry and refreshing.
Overall : Interesting beer overall. Enjoyable carbonation. Taste a bit watery, nothing really outstanding but well made.
