DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2013
Dark ruby with a fine, initially rolling beige top. Immediately weird and delicious Belgian aroma with dark sugar, blueberry muffin dunked in coffee and spices (grains of paradise, coriander?). Effervescent spicy stuff with light roasted notes; nosebleed, cheap coffee, liquorice, Fruit Pastille, a fenugreek/stale old coriander-like scoop of something out of the curry cupboard. The spice is very like Keith’s coriandered homebrew actually. Strong rusted notes. Brazen but I like it.

Bottle from m&s Euston. Nice floral hop aroma Belgian phenols and a touch of candy apple. Carmel brown colour. Clear with a whisky cream fine head. Flavour is slightly disappointing. Touch of cardboard, chic and fruity yeast esters. Fine carbonation. Crisp hop finish.

zacgillbanks (957) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle from M&S Newcastle. A dark brown beer which pours with a huge foamy white head. It has creamy rich red fruit, chocolate and liquorice flavours with spicy currant finish.

Theydon_Bois (2957) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2013
Bottle from M&S at RMD station drank on the 18.36 train to SNG, 30/03/13. Almost clear dark chestnut brown with a good sized biege head. Nose carries toffee notes, Belgian yeast, brown sugars, light spice. Taste comprises toffee, Belgian yeast, brown sugars, nutty, touch of spice. Medium bodied, dryish in the finish. Ok drinkable stuff but nothing I’d particularly care to revisit unless there was nothing else !

330ml bottle from M+S Eltham, SE London - Pours dark brown in colour with a small thin head. Mix of dark fruits stong yeast and malt character but agree with others that the carbonation was far to much and really ruined it for me, couldn’t finish the bottle.

SarkyNorthener (606) - Walsall (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with red hues. Small head. Not as much aroma as I expected. The taste is strong malts, liquorice and spices. Quite deep bodied and sticky. A little too much carbonation though and the liquorice does come through quite strong at times.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a small, frothy head. Aroma is coffee, liquorice and root beer. Taste has yeasty dark fruits to start. Yeasty, liqourice finish. Carbonation is far too high and sharp.

Beersiveknown (1622) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle@home from M&S Cookstown
Pales clear reddish brown with a fluffy beige head. Strong aroma of corriander with underlying licorice. Fairly thin in body with medium carbonation, lots of corriander and orange peel and fruity yeast esters. Thankfully the candysugar doesn’t make too big an appearance but the high spicing makes it a slow drinker. Its not too bad.
