2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep red color, fluffy head. Smells cherries. Taste is over the top sweet, which somehow had artificial clang, e.g., plain sugar. Usual sourness of lambic is missing, pity. Minding these faults this is roughly ok beer, but nothing more. The only reason to have the belgian cherry is that there ain’t much similar beers in supermarkets at London.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the M&S in Paddington, I think, coincidentally enough. Pours a luscious, deep pink-purple with a creamy white head. Lots of cherry juice in the aroma, and little else. Medium sweet flavor, with lots of liquefied cherry Jolly Ranchers, a little tartness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with just a vague hint of cherry skin bitterness, lots more sugary cherry candy, concentrated cherry juice. This is pretty much just cherry soda. I do enjoy it, though, and hate myself a little bit for that.

Next time I want a sour cherry juice with a healthy dash of beer I know where to come. It tastes good but it’s dominated by the cherry juice. Not sure it’s a beer at all.

3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2015 Cloudy, red. Small pink head. Looks like cherry NyQuil. Smells like cherry NyQuil mixed with a packet of bread yeast. Flavor is mostly cherry, quite tart. Medium-heavy oily palate. Finish is syrupy. The aroma is rather off-putting, but otherwise is quite good.

3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy cherry red with no head. Smells of NyQuil -- extremely offputting. Taste starts off with a punch of cherry, nice and tart, and ends with the flavor of canned cherry pie filling with a hint of cinnamon. Odd for a beer, but not bad. Medium body, lively. Pretty tasty if you don’t smell it while drinking!
