Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a small head. Hints of grass on the nose, light wheat. Mild spice flavor, some sugar. Kind of bland. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very faint yeast to finish, light sugar. Just alright.

Aroma of flowers, orange and wheat. It looked cloudy yellow with a thin white head and had lacing on the glass. Tasted orangey with a hint of spice and it was fairly smooth.

Hazy yellow colour. Lively carbonation which creates a frothy white head. Citrus coriander, yeast aroma. Thin body. Refreshing beer but lacks full flavour.

Cloudy light straw color. White head - small. Little to no lacing left behind. Citrusy. Little wheat aroma. Otherwise pretty muted. There is something there that is a bit hard to place, but unpleasant. Slight clove. Phenols. Wheaty. But the unpleasant aroma makes it appearance in the taste, and is not any better on the tongue. Smooth, but thin. A little sourness in the aftertaste. Not bad. But could be way better. I guess Huyghe saves the good brewing for their own beer.

Bottle. Hazy yellow gold with a white foam. Aromas are banana, lemon and yeast with spices. Flavours are sweet wheat and raspberry with acidic citrus. Peppery with yeast and a dry finish. Reasonable.

500ml bottle from M&S at St Pancras. Hazy pale gold, thick white head. A little too soapy on the aroma, over a lemon and spicy nose. Soap takes it away from being a decent wit cos the rest is very good. Touch of mango and passion fruit on the finish.

Bottled, 500ml from M&S Summertown, Oxon. Clouded pale yellow with white head. Certainly a pretty authentic Belgian Wit, spicy with banana, estery flavours, it’s like many of this type, initially flavoursome but becomes overbearing in the end.
