3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Dark brown reddish hues, residual head. Dark fruit aroma. Taste is a hit of caramel, then stewed fruits and treacle. There is a slight hint of alcohol warmth in there too. Sticky palate and slightly carbonated. Very nice beer.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brewed by the under whelming hughe. Nose is caramel and a hint of cloves. Nice dark brown. Taste is shallow but amenable enough, cinnamon, burnt sugar, and treacle
Not a bad beer, but its hard to see why m&s thought this was worth bringing over from Belgium.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2013 Bottle from Marks and Sparks, Eltham. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head which soon varnishes like an old oak table. Souresque nose, bit of orchard fruit and caramel in there. Flavours of raisins, sweet spice, toffee apple. Long sweet finish. Interesting brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2013 Dark hazy brown. Appley smell (farmyard?) taste is sweet but complex, nice slight bitterness. Unguous mouthfeel, sticky. Nice though! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle served in a trappist glass. Dark hazy brown with a lighter brown head which didnt last.Fruity farmyard and cereal aroma like the beginning of fermentation, dry roasty caramel chocolate flavours. Sticky mouth-filling palate, with enough dry hoppiness to cut the sweetness. Manages to be complex, challenging, and enjoyable.
