Bottled, from M&S, Woking. Almost clear golden, small head. Aroma of custard, apricot and mango. Mid sweet with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Elegant citrusy hops, mild soothing malt. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer St Pancras. Clear pale gold lasting white head. Some yeast on the aroma. Some ok citrus flavour in the mouth. A well balanced and good drinking golden ale with enough biting hop on the finish to make it interesting. It’s fine and slightly better than average.

Bottle at Marks&Spencer in Prague. Golden beer with a small offwhite head. Citrus aroma, grassy, bready, bisbuits, caramel, some lemongrass. Hoppy floral flavor, grassy, hay, citrus, bready notes. Decent but not more.

500ml bottle (M&S, Tallinn) - thanks Marduk!
Amazingly marmaladey aroma, grapefruit and other citrus zest. Touch malty too, but it’s a bit thin. Flattish palate, gently sweet. Simple but tasty pale bitter. A bit papery. Drying finish, long and dusty, a bit earthy chalky, but still a bit sweet too. Adequate for the strength, but a bit thin.

Bottle. Light gold with a white foam. Aromas are marmalade with toast malts and nice fresh grassy notes. Jammy with candy sugar and mellow grapefruit. Flavours are sweet, jammy lemon and apricot with a fairly restrained grapefruit and lemon bitterness to finish low toast malts with some residual sugar. A decent hoppy brew.

Thought this was JHB? Last sampled for breakfast on the back seat of a National Express between Heathrow and Gatwick. This bottle back to back with a Kernel. Slim-lidded lager gold wafting with pine, white musk and mandarin handwash, boiled flowers. Decent sweet brittle (lightly buttered) pine, lime and crackers flavour possibly mildly damaged by bottling. Buttery grass bitterness and lime finish. I probably shouldn’t but prefer this to the Kernel.

Bottle sample at my 5555th rating tasting at Sar HaMashkaot Ramat Gan. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden. Aroma of bready malt, a bit of fruitiness and floral notes. Flavor has a bit of graininess, stale malt and a bitter finish, kinda husky. Light to medium-bodied.

50cl Bottle from M&S A’dam. Clear pale golden colour, thin white head. Aroma of floral hops, almost soapy, like lavender or rosemary, honey, some sweet malts and sweet lemon. Flavour is much the same, nice floral hoppiness, soft sweet honey, subtle bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice.

50cl bottle. pale straw, ring of white head; moderate carbonation; complex aroma, citrus, vanilla and oak; soft grainy body with some grapefruit bitterness; and a reasonable length of finish with some dry biscuit and lingering vanilla. A lot better than I was expecting.
