the choclate fusion ignites the palate, this however does over power the beer, and the one bottle is not enough

Bottle.Golden with a small head.Far lighter in appearance than I had expected.Chocolate dominates but not in a sickly way as sometimes happens.Malty finish with no lacing.Far far better than anticipated.

Bottled (from some random Marks & Spencer in London). Amber colour, small beige head and some slight lace. Aroma is chocolate, fruits, some wood and mild notes of vanilla as well. Flavour is chocolate, some vanilla and mild fruityness as well.

Beer3000 (3118) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 11, 2012
500 ml bottle. Dark golden body with an off-white head. Aroma is milk chocolate with a hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet milk chocolate, cocoa, light caramel and some bitterness. Thin to medium body, moderate aftertaste with chocolate. Not really bad but not to exiting either. Chocolate flavor – yes, Porter – not at all.

Bottled. A chestnut brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma has sweet chocolate and banana. The same in the mouth. The chocolate is dusty, and is very prevalent late on the back of the tongue. A reasonable length. Really not sure about the banana but it’s not a bad beer.

berkshirejohn (3020) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2010
50cl bottle. Good strong whiff of chocolate malt on opening, but much lighter in colour than I expected - brilliant copper, but rather flat in appearance with a thin ring of white head. Sweet to start with then a rich malty chocolate flavour develops with some vanilla, to be followed by more sweetness, which gets rather overpowering. There is an earthy bitterness in there somewhere, but it gets lost under the sugar. Shame it’s so sweet.

Chocolate and vanilla custard aroma. Same in the taste. A bit thin tastewise, but still quite full bodied.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours a clearish, copper-brown with a small, off-white head. Light roast aroma. Sweet flavor, some caramel and toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faint toast in the finish, light dry bitterness. Alright.

markas101 (1503) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2011
50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK. Amber colour, hot chocolate powder aroma with underlying floral spice. Somewhat velvet-like texture, some hop brightness with more hot-chocolate emerging, then a bitter hit at the finish. More of a chocolate infused bitter than a porter it seems, and slightly artificial in flavour, but not offensive.

Gethinbeer (1570) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 22, 2011
Amber colour with a frothy head. Is this porter? Chocolate malt aroma, strong alcoholic hints. Slight chocolate notes. Malt flavour. Strong alcohol finish.
