Clear gold, white quickly diminishing head. Nose is malt with citrussy hops. Taste is malts, caramel, flowery, citrussy hops and dryness in the finish. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, discreet carbonation. Crisp, clean and fresh.

Very gentle floral aroma. Taste is light to the point of bland. Very gentle hops giving a herbal note, with a pleasing bitterness to finish. Slightly too carbonated for my tastes. It’s not a bad beer but too middle of the road for me. Perhaps a good choice for the drinker who prefers the classic English ipa over the more extreme ipa currently in fashion

well hopped nose with some spice, a hint of pine, and a little bit of citrus. Pours a pleasant gold with a quickly disappearing head. Flavour is dry and tasty with some sweet bubblegum, some clove, a bit of grapefruit and some burnt orange peel. Surprisingly good for a supermarket beer.

Pale golden yellow ale with a small bubbly head. Has a heavy pale aroma, slightly soured in taste but still full of fruitiness.

rauchbier (3393) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle, from M&S, Hull. Gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Pleasant citrusy nose with hints of fruity bubblegum and elderflower, hops and a gentle sweet graininess. Full bodied in the mouth with a very pleasant balance of sweet grainy malt and citrusy resinous hop bitterness, again with an underlying fruity elderflower note, soft in the finish with gentle hop resin bitterness lingering.
