Big hoppy aroma: toffee and flowers. Very nice. And you get a nice slug of it every time you take a swig. Well balanced taste. Surprisingly good finish. The whole thing much better than you’d expect from an M&S beer. (I expected bland.)

500ml bottle, pours golden brown with a small white head. Aroma is a nice balance between caramel and biscuit malt, with citrus hop. finish a bitter and dry. Not very hoppy, but balanced. Good.

Bottled, 500ml from Marks & Spencers in Banbury. Gold with white head. Initially quite a sweetish beer with a flowery, hoppy note, there is a bitter, tartish edge to it later. Sweet, flashy citrus, almost a lemonade hint, fairly carbonated but no wet cardboard notes. Overall quite reasonable.

Splitenz (329) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 30, 2014
Somewhat well rounded English IPA. Fairly hoppy with a bit watery mouthfeel. A bit metallic and a hint of wet paper. Still, served cold enough and with a good clean natural feel to it, I won’t pass it on when served on a sunny day.

Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 5% Slighty hazy orange colour on the body, small white head, with okay retention, leaving minimal lacing on the glass. Nice aroma with citrus and tropical fruits, mango, pineapple. Tastes good too, light caramel malts, citrus, hints of pine, quite fruity, with a bitterness that intensfies as time passes, with good duration after it reaches its high point. Medium thin body wiht good carbonation, mildly dry palate. Overall not bad at all for a beer made for a supermarket.

500ml bottle from M&S. Pours clear gold, no real head. Aromas are citrus and honey, light spicy hops. Taste brings more hop bitterness, and a light caramel sweetness. Medium body, bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle from M&S. Hazy gold pour, very thin white head. Aroma is malty, light citrusy notes, fresh bread, biscuity pale malt. Taste is much hoppier, really grassy and grapefruity hops, light maltiness, good punchy bitter finish. Palate is med bodied with low carbonation. Nice quencher.

Bottle - BCA - Golden Amber in colour. Very Hoppy; grassy & resinous piney hops, oily. Very Fruity; grapefruit & lemon citrus. Malty; caramel & toffee. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Mildly bitter, i.e not too bitter. Bitter hoppy citrus fruity throughout. Dry malty finish. Thirst quenching. Refreshing. Very drinkable. Nice Beer!

Bottle from M&S, Den Haag. Poured a clear light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is hop light citrus. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a hop light malt yeast citrus palate and a short bitter finish. Nice enough but needs more hops.
