3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good chocolate and medium roast aroma, bitter palate, with a bit of vegetable and soy in there, but generally pretty good. Liquorice in the finish and a bit of leather. Tasty enough

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. This is quite good. The aroma is of dark chocolate and roasted malt. I like that. The taste is refreshing, but the carbonation is way too high and destroys the experience a bit. This beer finishes with a nice bitter and dark chocolate taste. A quite nice brew! Too bad that unpleasant carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle from M&S, Rocca al Mare, Tallinn. Quite typical irish stout, good to see that there are more good beers beside Guinness Aroma - roasted malts, bread crumbs. Taste initially sweetish-acidic, you can feel the carbonation and smokiness of the beer. Later some hop bitterness ensues and lingers along for a while. Didn’t really catch the coffee and chocolate that was promised on the label, maybe only some bitter coffee beans. Good beer, would like to sip it while sitting at a pub in Dublin.

bought at the Celbridge Mark & Spencer .. . mild roast .. . deep brown black .. . no character .. . light mouth .. . frankly, an annoying beer .. . . Today’s cartoons send the wrong messages to kids. I miss the old days. When coyotes played with
dynamite and caterpillars took hookah hits.

Bottle. Jet black, fluffy dense and lasting beige head and moderate condition. Gentle roasted coffee bean, bitter chocolate and a slight blackberry fruitiness in the nose, pleasantly bitter in the mouth with touches of coffee, quite dry and powdery, some blackberry notes emerging asit warms. Finish has a tingle of bitterness and some roasted barley notes lingering but always restrained.
