This cider comes from award-winning craft cider maker Sandford Orchards who make it at their family-run farm near Crediton in Devon. The apples, grown on or within 10 miles of the farm, include the wonderfully named Farmers Glory and Slack-ma-Girdle varieties. This golden cider has a light tone, crisp bite and a pleasing bittersweet finish with bags of apple on the palate. Perfect match for... Great with salads and cold meats, fruity chutney and bread, this also has enough character to go with pasta dishes. A wonderful lunch time cider.

Pale yellow with a thin, disappearing, fizzy, non lacy white head. Smells mostly of a zesty sour apple with some sweetness and ripe apples. Medium to thin light body with medium carbonation. Tastes of acidic and sweet apples and a dry sour finish. Leaves the mouth dry and fruity. Easy simple cider but enjoyable.
