Brewed for Marks & Spencer by Meantime.
Note: This is not the same beer as the Meantime Yakima Red. They are similar recipes, but are not the same. They use completely different hops and malts.

Brewed with Crystal and Caramel malts for a deep copper red colour and 5 different types of American hops from the Yakima Valley in Washington State for a refreshingly balanced flavour.

750ml bottle. M&S. Firstly...Massive bottle! Cherry aroma, fruity, bundles of red berries, a delicious aroma. Mild brown body, reddy brown. Soft fluffy head. Wonderful full-of-cherry taste, sweet, soft bitter finish. Good carbonation. Spongey palate. This is a fantastic brew, a must-try!

Mahogany colour with an off white head. The aroma is sweet caramel and sugar cane with maybe berry fruits. This has a rich sweetness balanced by spiciness from the hops and a zesty lemon note on the finish. Full flavoured but slightly sticky on the palate, a minor criticism.

Bottle. Bronze with a small head. Malty with some fruitiness. Plenty of body considering its relatively low strength. Nice slightly bitter finnish.

Tasted as Marks & Spencer Greenwich Red by Meantime. But having had this on tap before I can confirm its the same. Deep red colour. Rich dark toffee and plum aroma. Plenty of roast malt in the flavour but balanced by heavy hopping so quite bitter. Just a bit too astringent and a little thin to be a classic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at ChrisO tasting, thanks to Leighton, 30/12/12. Lightly hazed reddish brown with a thin tan head that clears to a film. Nose is caramel malt, light grapefruit, sugars, background hops. Taste follows, caramel malt at the fore, touch of pine, bitter tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, some bitterness in the dryish finish. Decent.

75cl Bottle from M&S A’dam. Clear deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel/toffee, nice citrusy and fruity hops, sticky resin. Flavour is the same, light nutty, decent bitterness, nice fruity hops with resin. Light-bodied. Nice.

[750ml bottle from Marks & Spencers Reading] Red-brown with a moderate cream head. Some tropical fruit in the aroma (mango & peach) which on tasting develops into a berr-like taste. Caramel & treacle develop, with a burnt sugar bitterness coming through. Decent beer, maybe a little thin.
