COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned. A perfect match for.. Shellfish, beef sausages & onion gravy, Lancashire hot pots or simply try with paté and warm toast. One of the great British styles "Mild" Originally meant a beer that hand’t aged. Today, as its name suggests, mild means lightly hopped and not bitter. Dark Milds get their rich colour from caramel and roasted malts and although relatively low in alcohol, are full in body with a lingering quality. Daniel Thwaites knows a think or two about brewing a great mild. Specially brews for M&S, the same craft and award-winning expertise has been used to create this lovely Lancashire mild for you.

From Fosse. Clear ruby, dirty nicotine foam. Imperial Leather rolled in cheap coffee granules aroma; a snort of barrel, butter biscuits- pretty good. Slick and soapy with a pleasant, iron-dusted roastedness; some late copper, biscuit and plum. Very distinct burnt, buttered wood. Kept me interested.

Not much aroma or taste, but an excellent light textured body makes this worthy.

50cl bottle. Well this is certainly bottle conditioned, with an explosive openning and lots of billowing, caramel coloured foam. Neverless it pours crystal clear with a light magohany colour with a ruby tint - looking absolutely great. The aroma has caramel and touch of yeast; it’s soft in the mouth, with a rich treacly flavour, rather thin - but that’s to be expected; then a lasting caramel finish. The best bottled mild I’ve come across.
