imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, - JAN 23, 2012
Bottled, 500ml from M&S Summertown, Oxon. Amber to light brown with thin head. Instant wet cardboard, staleish hit from the nose, the wet cardboard transfers to the flavour, fortunately the stale note doesn’t. Boiled toffee with a hint of cauliflower is the best stab I have at the flavour, some thin malt, touch of earthy hop. Not great.

Deep amber-brown pour with a tight tan head. The aroma is softly spicy and a little bit woody. Lingering earthiness and a bit of light toffee.
