Cold fermented at the Meantime Brewery for Marks & Spencer.
This London Porter is brewed in Greenwich, using no fewer than seven malts to recreate a historic recipe from the 1750s for a style of beer that was once synonymous with London.

500ml bottle. Deep brown pour with reddish hue and a fine beige coloured head. Nose is malty with caramel, dark chocolate, redcurrent, and hints of smoke. Palate is smooth with moderately sweet malty flavours and a smoky dry finish. A lovely refined porter.

McWorta (606) - LUXEMBOURG - SEP 21, 2014
Ruby red with a light tan coloured fading head. On the nose you notice aromas of bitter chocolate, cold coffee, malty with a hint of metallic aroma. The texture is briefly lively, offering some sweet-bitter chocolate flavours. Lightly bitter with a medium finish. Lacks a punch but still ok to drink.

From 0,5l bottle. BBD: 05.2015 Pours clear dark brown to red liquid, medium tan frothy head, Aroma: malty, roasty, dark chocolate, Taste: medium sweet, medium light to medium bitter, dry, roasty, some minor chocolate, malty, bit watery, Palate: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation, abrupt sweet finish. Overall: Disappointed, thought if it is from Meantime brewery, it should be something amazing, but actually Lvivske Porter (Baltic porter as well) is way better, even though it is a Carlsberg brewery... :\

Bottle at home. Darkest clear red mahogany, fine beige unstable head. Earthy malty nose, leathery sweet flavour, just a bit watery. Lovely porter and original.

A fine Baltic porter. Dark brown, quite frothy beige head. Taste is sweet, somewhat bitter, caramels, toffee, roasted malts, laid down fruits, coffee and some ash on the finish. Lovely.

500 ml bottle at home, poured into a snifter, ABV 5.5% Chestnut brown colour on the body, clear and transparent when hold against the light. Small and thin tan head, good retention. Light lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, light roasted malts, miljy chocolate, iron, something herbal. Lots of metallic notes on the finish, ruining the initial flavours of dark fruits and light coffee. Aftertaste is where it shines, with more dark fruits, chocolate, toasted malts. Still some herbal notes or spices-like flavour, giving it a weird touch. Medium thin body, carbonation on good levels. Nice dryness on the palate coming from roasted malts. Okay beer, not what I would call an ordinary porter although at moments it seems so.

Bottle, used mostly to make a nice cottage pie. Pours clear reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, malts, dark fruits and wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Nice enough but a strange porter. Will have to wait and see how it turns out in the pie.

Bottle from Jim- cheers! Pours chestnut with a moderate beige head. Smoke, plums, treacle, gravy and cough mixture with a dry ashy aftertaste. Quite liked this one.
