Super smooth texture is great in the palate, but it hardly has any aroma or taste.

Medium light brown with thick tan head. Butter, caramel, flowers, ginger and malt smell. Bitter taste all the way through. Medium body with soft carbonation. Soapy. Hot ginger, burnt toast and sweet malt. Goes down with flavour.

Ruby red, medium off-white head. The aroma is an interesting blend of ginger, herbs and malty sweetness. Thistle and malt in the start, ginger and hops in the finish. The aftertaste is more thistle and bitterness. Body is a bit watery, the balance is a bit off, but this is an intriguing beer nonetheless.

Bottle. Herbal, grass nose, ginger, spices and light malt. Copper-brown color with lace. Flavor of nettles, ginger, caramel, ginger. Dry and a bit dusty, with a somewhat vegetal bitterness at the end. Nice dry finish, though. Interesting, rather strange, but good enough.

Bottle. Red amber body, medium head. Herbal aroma with a hint of ginger. Taste is hoppy with herbal elements similar to nettle and dandelion milk. Bitter finish. Good, but not very harmonic.

Bottle from Marks & Spencers West End Simply Food. Dark reddish brown colour with a good foamy head. Sweet fruity aroma. Fruity ferric malt flavour. Sweet fruit aftertaste. Better than expected.

500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is subtle, warm ginger and some spicy malt. Taste is a bit of thistle to start and gingery malt to finish. A bit lifeless.

Pours a dark amber ruby with a small white head that fades fast and leaves no lacing. Smells like ginger crystals and thistle. There is a bit of malts buried underneath, but it isn’t starting out well. Tastes like the above mentioned things that shouldn’t be in beer. Not overly horrible, but just not right. And some kind of burnt flavor as well. Thin and watery. Mix that with ginger and plant aftertaste and you know what you are in for. Not very good. I supposed if I was eating fruitcake all night it would go well with it. But I don’t touch that stuff, and I won’t be touching this again. This is going to the wife.
