berkshirejohn (4209) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 50cl bottle. An attractive golden amber with a flat white head; the aroma has some grain, honey and peachy tropical fruit; the taste the same with a slight sourness; followed by a grassy bitterness, and a sticky finish. Rather good.

Leighton (9883) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 1, 2013
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the M&S Stratford. Pours crystal clear gold with a slight, white foam head. Doughy, lightly buttery and biscuit pale malts in the nose, hints of hay. Medium sweet flavor, some white bread, biscuits, dough, faint hay, some tangerine merengue. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly sticky sweet to finish, some further tangerine, doughy biscuits. Easy drinking.

mR_fr0g (2022) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2013
Bottle at home from Euston station. Golden orange in colour with a slight haze and scummy thin white head. Aroma is herbal hop, yeast esters with a floral honeysuckle note. Flavour is mid sweet honey malt, grainy with floral hop finish. Mid carbonation. Overall a good beer, but a bit dull.

DruncanVeasey (6952) - NUNEATON, Top 24, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2013
From Fosse. Veiled gold with a slim fine collar. Aroma of drains, hedges, TCP, hint of candy banana. Shrubby, herbal hints with dank and banana yeast; coriander (leaf) and parsley-like impressions; heavy mineral presence. Hard to believe it contains Nelson Sauvin. Too yeasty and phosphoric for my liking. A step backwards from Adnams.

Pith (123) - New York, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours medium gold with a decent frothy head. Aroma citrus and hoppy. Half-bitter cream-laced taste that provides a full palate. Barley wheat taste with medium bite.

jamestulloch (1060) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 25, 2012
Aroma: Grapefruit, honeydew melon and grain.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a massive off-white head. Very highly carbonated, it looks fizzier than a soft drink. Great lacing.

Taste: Light flavours of lemon, orange and unripe melon. Some grain, wheat and - strangely for an American Pale Ale - coriander.

Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Lively carbonation.

Overall: An unusual beer with quite a lot going on, however the flavours feel a bit unbalanced and blend together into something pretty indistinct. I think an unfiltered version of this might be better.

maeib (8404) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012
Bottled 12/11/12. A golden coloured beer which poured with no head. Citrussy fruity with a soapy element. Peach and tropical fruits in the mouth. A bit of sticky marmalade. Not bad.

stravale (1900) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - OCT 22, 2012
Bottle
Straw colour, very slight haze, frothy white head that dissipates quickly
Aroma - light citrus hops, light grapefruit, hint of lemon, touch of sweet pale malt
Taste - soft sweet pale caramel malts with light citrus zest hops, hops quite subdued for an APA, light sweet wheaty malt, some orange in there - the wheat is cramping the citrus of the hops somewhat though, easy drinking
Palate - medium carb, light to medium body, little oily, smooth palate. Finish as main flavour with subtle citrus hops and those sweet pale malts
Overall - The flavour was not quite as good as the aroma....reasonably good though

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 11/20
suurjuust (863) - ESTONIA - SEP 29, 2012
Pale gold, white head. Nose is fruity and slightly hoppy, some slight wheaty spice. Taste begins thin, watery, malty, slight caramel; ends with some hops, wheat, peach and citrus notes. Thin body, fairly flat carbonation, slightly oily mouthfeel. OK, but could do with more body.

thirstyrabbit (1006) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 20, 2012
Bottle. Pale golden body, minimal head. Aroma has sweet plums and other fruits. Light sweet taste with citric hops. Finish has more sweet fruit. Lightly hopped. It’s alright, but it could have been much better if the flavours were stronger.
