Total straight-down-the-line middle-of-the-road bitter. Clearly made from beer ingredients, full malts, and pleasantly bitter hops, and with no flaws at all, but there’s nothing to grasp at, and make it any more than "meh".

500ml bottle from M&S in St Pancras station drunk on train on way back from Reading BF. Well is it particularly Yorkshire? No it could be any brown bitter with twigs. Its fine. Those twiggy earthy hops are distinctive. Its fine. Some brown dry malt. Fine if umexciting

Bottle. Amber, small to average and and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel and some fruitiness, faint hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some fruitiness, caramel, faint citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish with some fruitiness, some caramel and light hoppyness. Caramel sweetish bitter - nothing special.

Bottle. Amber brown with an off white foam. Aromas are weetabix and raisins with lemon and traces of metal. Dusty yeast with some nuttiness. Flavours are dry tea and mixed Autumn fruit with a fruity bitter finish. Some toffee with burnt plastic. OK.

Appearance Dark amber/light brown, clear, frothy white head that dissipates to bubbles around edge, minimal lacing.
AromaLight spicy hops, light malts, hint of fruit.
Taste Caramel malt, nutty, bot of roasted malt, spicy bitter, slightly earthy hops.
Palate Soft carb, thin body. Finish quite dry, bitter hops, continuation of main taste. some longering light bitterness.
Overall Above average bitter, quite quaffable. OK. Competent in all aspects but plain.

Dark Amber colour. Smell of grass, nut and wood. some malt hints. Taste of nut, malt and caramel. Bitter feel with a medium body light carbonation. Dry finish. The nutty flavour is nice.

30th July 2011 ChrisOs ’Donkey Dork Lord’ Pre-GBBF Tasting. Clear amber beer, good white head. Mild pale malt well balanced with very light hop. Dry finish. Not too bad.
