COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium bodied Irish Red Ale, this beer has a a well balanced sweetness from crystal malts, with a slight hint of roast at the end of the beer. Fuggle hops lend themselves to a nice smooth bitterness and almost tea like aroma. An excellent choice for people wanting more flavor, but not too much. OG - 13.5 FG - 3.0 IBUs - 35 ABV - 5.6%

On tap at the brewpub - not bad, but I was expecting more. Had a nice roasty, dry finish with some hops in there too.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2012 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a reddish-caramel color with a medium sized foamy off white head that left some lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel and faint fruit. The flavor was tart and somewhat bitter caramel, fruity hops and crystal malt. The finish was medium length and bitter with faint caramel and a touch of pepper lingering. Medium body. Ok.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber body with a minimal fizzy off-white head. The nose is pretty nice, some light fruity notes over a toasty and slightly husky graininess. A light touch of hops. The flavor is a touch sweet for my tastes, grainy and toasty with a light bitterness on the finish. Body is on the lighter side with a little clinginess on the finish and soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent for the style, though I wish it were a bit drier.
