COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Kölsch-Style Ale, is light in both body and color. Wheat and Carapils lend themselves to a light gold almost straw color, will both Perle and Tettnang hops provide a light hop bitterness and floral aroma. A good light session beer, great all year round. OG - 11.2 FG - 2.0 IBUs - 17 ABV - 5.0%

On draft at the pub: Amber yellow with minimal head that left a ring of lacing. A little malty fruity aroma. Flavor was good; it just needed more of it and a bit more body. Nice spicey hop finish.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a medium white head. Aroma has light straw, grain, and grass. Flavor follows suit and adds a hint of lemony citrus. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a grassy/leafy finish. Decent but not as crisp and grassy/hoppy as I prefer my kolsch.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a trace white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was dryish, nutty and bready with a hint of banana peel. The flavor was dryish, bready and nutty with a hint of banana peel. The finish was bitter and bready. Medium body. Disappointing.

Served on-tap at Marley’s. A - Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin film of white head leaving little to no lace down the glass. S - Smells of bready wheat, light hop bitterness, and a dulled apple fruitiness. Could use a bit more flavor but still pretty nice nose. T - Starts off with the chewy malt, never really leaving the picture throughout the experience, slowly giving way to hints of fruity apples, dulled hop bitterness, and some light sweetness. Finish is a mix of chewiness and light sweetness, lingering on the pallet for some time. M - Medium-Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Crisp, smooth feel that growing a bit watery toward the end of the glass. O - This one was ok. I could probably drink a few of these no problem but it had a weird off flavor develop as it warmed up, making it a bit harder to finish the glass.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is corn, cereal and grain malt, spicy hops and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt forward with light hops and bitterness, and a dry finish. Light body and warmth, medium warmth.

Not a lot of aroma. Pours straw yellow with little head. Taste is nondescript. Not a lot of hoppiness or maltniness. Finish is somewhat clean. I thought kolsch was supposed to be a bit heavier.

On tap. Pours a clear straw with a minimal fizzy white head. Nose is light straw and pale malts with a touch of breadiness. Smells like there’s a bit of corn in there. The flavor is rather light and weak with some corn and minimal bitterness. Light bodied and fizzy with prickly carbonation. No crispness on the finish. Not exactly a Kolsch by my estimation, maybe better advertised as a "Light Ale" or Golden Ale.
