Tap. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is caramel and nutty malt, spicy rye, dark fruity esters, and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant, nutty rye malt, dark fruity esters, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation.

Draft. Pours dark, clear amber with thin white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is yeast, spice, bread malt, and earthy notes. Flavor is light sweet malt, heavy earthy and floral hops, and average light fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber body with a minimal head. The nose is malty with a light touch of rye and some citrusy hops. Smells little like there’s a good deal of crystal malt in there. The flavor is on the sweeter side with some nice rye influence and some citrusy hops. There’s this weird iced tea like flavor in here that I just can’t figure out whether it’s from crystal malt or the combo of the rye & amarillo hops. Medium bodied with a little stickiness on the finish. Interesting. Can’t decide if I like this or not. I will have to try this again on my next visit.
