Tap. Pours black with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roast malt, dark fruits and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt dominant with medium hops and bitterness, dark fruits and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation.

Draft at brewpub. Pours black with half an inch of khaki foam that quickly disappears. It looks like coca-cola in the glass. Roasted malt notes on the nose. Very pleasant. Thin mouthfeel as you would expect from the style. Some roasted notes on the tongue. Clean finish.

Draft. Pours deep, dark brown with thin beige head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, wheat, toffee, and dark fruit. Flavor is average roasted malt, light earthy hops, and average dark fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.
